As a self-taught fashion designer with a formal background in the fine arts, Estrella Tadeo's approach to design is very sculptural; creating garments that work with the body, not around it. Making garments, for her, is both a love of fine tailoring and a challenge to create something both wearable and eclectic. By personally adding handpainted details and modern whimsical embellishments, Estrella transforms the once humdrum basics into fresh, contemporary, unique pieces of practical art.
